Ana Wong-McDonald, Ph.D

Dr. Ana Wong-McDonald is the Clinical Director of Programs at The Salvation Army – Haven, with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a M.A. in Theology, both from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Previously, she served as a licensed clinical psychologist at Los Angeles County, Department of Mental Health where she founded and directed two award-winning programs (i.e., psychosocial rehabilitation at Hollywood Mental Health Center and a homeless outreach program, in collaboration with the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood).

As the Past President for the Christian Association for Psychological Studies – West Region, her research focused on the integration of spirituality and mental health, and were published in the Journal of Psychology and Theology, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Journal, Psychiatric Services, and the Journal of Psychology and Christianity.

She served as part-time faculty at Azusa Pacific University, Cal State Los Angeles, and she is currently on faculty at the University of California, Los Angeles.

She is passionate about serving communities of faith and has conducted seminars on mental health issues at numerous conferences.
