Ana Wong McDonald, Ph.D.

Dr. Ana Wong-McDonald serves as a licensed clinical psychologist at Los Angeles County, Department of Mental Health (DMH). She is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and an M.A. in Theology. She directed two award-winning programs at DMH (psychosocial rehabilitation at Hollywood Mental Health and a homeless outreach program, Hollywood HealthCare Partnership, hosted by the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood). A past president of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies - West Region, her research focuses on the integration of spirituality and mental health. She has published in the Journal of Psychology and Theology, Psychiatric Services, the Journal of Psychology and Christianity, and Psychiatric Rehabilitation Journal. She was on the faculty (adjunct) at Azusa Pacific University and Cal State L. A., and is currently on the faculty at UCLA. Now serving the chronically mentally ill homeless at Downtown Mental Health Center on Los Angeles Skid Row, she is passionate about assisting communities of faith on mental health issues and has conducted seminars at numerous conferences and faith organizations.
