Brian Prestwich, MD

Brian Prestwich, MD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Family Medicine at the Keck USC School of Medicine, attended the UCLA School of Medicine and completed his residency in Family Practice at the Ventura County Medical Center. Over the subsequent 8-year period he served as clinical faculty at VCMC while practicing family medicine within the VCMC system and served as President of the Medical Staff the year prior to joining the faculty at the USC/ California Hospital Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program where he taught and served as Medical Director from 1998-2005. Dr. Prestwich then served as a staff physician at Clinica Monsenor Oscar A. Romero, where he was the Rheumatology Champion and Medical Director of the COPE/LAC-USC Camino de Salud Specialty Access Network. In February, 2008, he accepted a clinical and teaching position at the Los Angeles Free Clinic, now the Saban Free Clinic. He continues to participate in the Camino de Salud project and teaches “The Medical Home: Managing to Care Better” to 3rd year medical students at the Keck USC School of Medicine. Dr. Prestwich is currently Co-Chair of the Early Developmental Screening and Intervention Learning Collaborative in Los Angeles County
