Mona Bormet serves as Project Manager for Policy/Advocacy at Christian Connections for International Health (CCIH). Previously, Mona served as Advocacy Program Specialist for the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum, where she focused on national policy efforts to improve data collection and analysis for Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander populations, and efforts to collect and share individual's health care stories in the policy arena. She also served as a Health Policy Fellow for Congresswoman Lois Capps of California. Mona earned her MPH from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, where she served as Student Senate President. Mona's love of people, culture and food extends from her roots of growing up Korean-American in the suburbs of Chicago to the many people she is fortunate to meet and learn from.
