Mona Devich-Navarro, Ph.D.


Navarro Consultant Group, Los Angeles. Ms. Devich-Navarro is a psychologist who received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern California, with a specialization in Children and Adolescent Psychopathology. She also completed a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in the Youth Stress and Mood Program at UCLA. She recently was the director of the Youth Depression & Suicide Program, University of California, Los Angeles. This research focused on implementing a family focused and in-home treatment combining techniques from cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), and Multisystemic Therapy (MST). Her interests include working with high-risk and gang youth, emotional and behavioral dysregulation, mood disorders, PTSD, substance use, and cognitive behavioral interventionsfor youth & families. She has published peer-reviewed papers in the areas of childhood depression, PTSD & substance use among high risk/gang youth, and ethnic identity. Currently, Ms. Devich-Navarro consults with various community based and youth gang organizations on topics such as organizational structure, staffing, evaluation measures (screening, tracking, outcomes), and the development and implementation of appropriate services and treatments.
